The Amalfi Coast <\/strong> <\/em> represents the splendid landscape located south of the chaotic and fascinating Naples. In support of this, the islands of Capri, Ischia and Procida have been attractions for millions of visitors coming not only from Italy.<\/p>\n

The cities that animate the coasts of Campania are immersed in the mountains, are unspoiled and maintain an evergreen charm that attracts groups of tourists. Our advice is to avoid the summer season, when visitors arrive in large numbers: you will be able to enjoy delicious walks among landscapes, art and good food.<\/p>\n

So when to go to the Amalfi Coast <\/strong> <\/em>?<\/p>\n

Many hotels, restaurants and attractions are closed from November to Easter. In summer, the narrow coastal roads are clogged and the temperatures soaring. Spring and autumn are the two best seasons to stay in these places.<\/p>\n

Spring for its bright flowering fields and autumn for warm seas and bountiful seasonal produce including mushrooms, black truffles and chestnuts.<\/p>\n

The Amalfi Coast <\/strong> <\/em> can be visited in 5 days during which you can discover the highlights of the region.<\/p>\n

Hiking the Amalfi Coast <\/strong> <\/em> is one of the best ways to get wonderful scenery, culture and food in one go. There are only a few locations in the world that offer this trio of experience – much less in Italy.<\/p>\n

Hiking and trekking on the Amalfi Coast <\/strong> <\/em> is unlike any type of activity you’ve ever tried before. Some parts of the trails are rocky and steep, while others are pleasant walking trails. No matter which route you choose to take, you will experience breathtaking views, fresh air and history.<\/p>\n

The best part of Amalfi Coast <\/strong> <\/em> excursions is that you are not in a very remote location. You can probably stay in nearby cities or visit multiple cities on your trip.<\/p>\n

The first point of historical interest that you can intercept on your way is the Torre delle Ziro <\/strong> <\/em>, located between Pontone and Atrani <\/strong> <\/ em >. This route continues along the ancient walls of the Duchy of Amalfi up to the Tower which was built before the 16th century.<\/p>\n

The building was used to observe the approach of pirate ships. She has an interesting past: at one point the Duchess of Amalfi <\/ strong> <\/ em>, after being accused of an affair, was locked up in the tower with her children and murdered. Locals believe the tower is haunted.<\/p>\n

Another route to experience is the Vallone delle Ferriere which starts from Pontone and ends in Amalfi. This trail is perfect for plant and forest lovers.<\/p>\n

Highlights of this route are the historic aqueducts, ancient foliage (ferns date back to the Ice Age), and medieval foundries. There are some detours you can take that will take you to waterfalls and gardens.<\/p>\n

The Path of the Gods <\/strong> <\/em> is located between Agerola and Positano <\/strong> <\/em>. This relatively flat trail boasts views of the island of Capri and several local towns. The trail itself is easy to walk, but we recommend that you avoid it in the late afternoon. Most of the route, in fact, overlooks the coast which has very little shade. In the summer months it becomes unsustainable! However, it is an excellent route to take in spring or autumn, as temperatures are lower but the breathtaking views remain the same.<\/p>\n

Finally, if you are looking for exceptional views, the path of Monte Tre Calli <\/strong> <\/em> is the ideal solution. This itinerary is harder to undertake as it takes you to the top of the mountain of the same name which is 1000 meters above sea level. The effort is rewarded because from its top you can see Vesuvius, Sorrento <\/strong> <\/em> and Amalfi <\/strong> <\/em>.<\/p>\n

While hiking on this trek make sure your water bottles are full. If you’ve brought snacks or energy foods, don’t leave their wrappers on the way!<\/p>\n
