4. Monti del Demanio (932 m)

From the Sanctuary of the Avvocata towards Monte Finestra . Our route continues with the Monti del Demanio , a very challenging path where the signs disappear. Our advice is to tackle the itinerary with the right equipment and with a good slack behind you.

If you intend to experience this route during the hottest months, the summer ones, bring water reserves and a hat to protect you from the sun. The Demanio Mountains present an average height of 900 meters above sea level.

From the path 300CAI before reaching the Sanctuary of the Avvocata there is a crossroads that indicates the direction towards the sanctuary, turning your back to the signs on the left you can see the entrance towards the Monti del Demanio , you have to be careful to take the right path.

The path along the Monti del Demanio takes us up towards Monte Finestra < / strong> passing through the Tramonti valley overlooking the sea of ​​ Maiori and the < em> Metellian valley with Cava de ‘Tirreni . The path passes right under the summit of Monte del Demanio (932m) , the area of ​​ Aria del Grano , Foce di Pucara (865m), Colle Solve (935m), Colle della Serra (936m) until you reach Foce di Tramonti (896m).

Foce di Tramonti is a very important point along the Alta Via dei Monti Lattari, it is a crossroads and from here the climb towards Monte Finestra begins, but you can descend towards the Corpo di Cava < / em> along the 306CAI path and the Tramontane Trail 309CAI which leads to the Tramonti valley.
